East Tennesseans looking for a fun and family-friendly event are invited to the free EarthFest 2011 event at on the Pellissippi State campus in Knoxville. This year's theme is Green It & Mean It, It's Up To You. The well-attended outdoor festival runs Saturday, April 16, from 10 am to 5 pm.
Experts on health, gardening and evironmentalism will be on hand with special talks and exhibits. Parents can explore weighty topics like sustainable communities, superbugs and hormone disruptors. Kids can dig for worms, plant seeds and make crafts.
