Thanks to the parents and kids who braved East Tennessee's unseasonably cold weather to come out and say hello at the
EarthFest celebration. I was thrilled with the opportunity to host a Flour Sack Mama festival activity for the very first time! I understand that attendance was down because of the blustery conditions. EarthFest still proved to be a great place to network about greener parenting.
Wind made securing a table covering nearly impossible. Thanks to Krista Cardenas and Sarah Woodland at the next booth for sharing enough duct tape to keep the tablecloth on. These two dedicated teachers will be directing
Camp Invention for elementary-aged children in the Knoxville area this summer. The camp that promotes creativity and problem-solving skills may be just what parents are looking for.

At another neighboring booth, I met co-leader Mary Rodio with the local
Holistic Moms Network. Rodio says her group offers a wide range of parenting resources. The group's next project will be participating in
The Great Cloth Diaper Change on April 23. The event at Caswell Park held simultaneously with others around the globe hopes to raise awareness about cloth diapering.
