The sign and a few quaint photo opportunities were too precious to pass up when we passed through
Friendly, West Virginia on a fun family outing. The tiny town on the eastern shore of the Ohio River was certainly not unfriendly. But there weren't many folks around except for a couple of older gentlemen mowing their lawns and some younger ones hunched over a broken down pickup truck. There was really not a great place to stop and chat. I can never resist a photo of a pretty barn. I wonder how many local kids have already tired of watching barges move up and down that quiet stretch of river? Mine were fascinated.
