Proof that gardening is great exercise! Yes, the kids and I pulled an entire wheelbarrow full of weeds from our tiny garden when we returned from a late-summer trip. I'm sure my helpful husband will be wheeling them off somewhere soon. I should be thankful that we've had enough rain here to provide such a lush bunch of garden greens, even if we'll be eating very few of them.
Still hoping for some sweet peppers from our late-blooming plants.
We have been eating a few tomatoes, with more ripening each day.
The broccoli plants are producing lovely leaves and less of the broccoli part you more commonly eat. Should have gotten it planted when the weather was cooler. The kids still love picking and eating the tiny florets while they play.
