Our efforts were messy and not quite right.
Our seedlings didn't all get enough light.
The worms did their part to make us compost.
Those relentless squash bugs bugged us the most.
We planted and watered, and up our plants grew.
We tried, but had blighted tomatoes, who knew?
Our spinach, it flourished, our beans, what a treat!
Organic growing methods gave us fresh things to eat.
Sometimes it was easy, sometimes it was hard, but we grew some food in our own backyard.
Now to keep digging for the best organic ways, to get our garden growing on the next sunny days...
