A Week's Work...

These chrysanthemums keep growing season after season, with little help from any gardener.  On a weekend when our broken washing machine left me wondering if I'd ever get the loads of dresses and play clothes done, these purple tutus twirled themselves out of their buds.

This week, I'll share my biggest laundry challenge that pits picture perfect motherhood against protective earth mother. Later this week, one of the nation's leading environmental advocates is guest posting here about a major consumer protection effort.  But we'll start off the week on the topic of soothing your baby's itchy skin -- and meet a mom who's found a solution that works for her family.

Have I mentioned that Holistic Moms Network is wrapping up their annual auction next weekend?  There's still time to explore their practical and pretty selection of gifts to benefit HMN's educational efforts.

ps - If you haven't liked FlourSackMama over on Facebook, this is your week to share the love!  I know it seems silly, but all of these ways we can support each other builds a stronger network and enables independent journalists like me to continue covering the stories that affect our families.
