Nurturing

Nurture:  "anything that nourishes..." reads my old college-edition Webster's dictionary. "The act or process of training or promoting the development of," reads another version of the definition.  After the nouns, we come to nurture as a verb.  Any parent could simply insert this dictionary entry into their job description and it would fit perfectly.

In this week when many families traditionally shift into holiday gear, where does the act of nurturing come in? In what ways are we able to nurture our families, our communities and ourselves?  Do the season's expectations and traditions contribute to this nurturing or detract from it?

This week at FlourSackMama.com, we'll be sharing insights from a variety of sources about ways we can nurture others and ourselves.  Please join us.
