Free Resources for Parents at East Tennessee Expos

Still looking for that elusive parenting manual you wish they'd handed you the day your baby was born -- the one with all the answers?  Me too!

While we don't have that, we have a wealth of resources available that we can seek as parents, from a wide range of sources.  East Tennessee parents might get a sense of that wide range if you visit the B97.5 Parenting Expo on Saturday, February 23 and Knoxville's Natural Parenting Expo on Saturday, April 20.  Be sure to mark those on your calendars now!

Flour Sack Mama is honored to host an information table for the national nonprofit group Safer Chemicals, Healthy Families at both of these popular parenting events.  We'll demonstrate simple things you can do around the home to create a greener and cleaner environment for your family.  We'll have free reference materials to help you make smarter choices on your next shopping trip.  We'll help you get started with clean couponing.  We'll hopefully have a new giveaway to tell you about.  And we'll explain how you can take action to improve consumer safety.

Getting ready for a new baby?  We're excited to share tips from a sweet parenting resource at Women's Voices for the Earth, a Safer Chemicals, Healthy Families partner.  Stop by our table to learn about having a Green Momma Party to freshen up your typical baby shower.

I'm especially honored that Knoxville's Natural Parenting Expo has asked me to present a short talk during the event in April.  And you can expect to hear from many other wise women with natural parenting experiences to share.

B97.5's Parenting Expo promises to once again offer fun activities for kids and comic relief for parents.  Be sure to say hi at the Safer Chemicals, Healthy Families table on your way to see blogger Heather Alexander talk about The Mommyhood, or comedian Leanne Morgan take the big stage that afternoon.

If you're in the East Tennessee area, please share this post with other parents who might be interested.  And if you're looking for a professional speaker or workshop on simple living in your area, just contact Anne at floursackmama@gmail.com for more information. Hope to see you at the expos!
