Getting Kids Outdoors

Climbed a tree lately?

Hiked in the forest?

Been outdoors much at all in this winter weather?

We all know the health and education experts say kids need time to play outdoors.  It's still a hard habit to get into when the weather is less than balmy.

The Let's Move campaign reminds us that stepping outdoors is a great way for kids to get at least part of their 60 minutes of exercise each day.

While organized sports can be positive, health experts suggest a balance of structured activities and old-fashioned play.
