You're Invited to the Salamander Ball!

What?  You've never dressed as your favorite animal or flower when you visited the Smokies?  This is your chance! The Great Smokies Salamander Ball puts a twist on the masquerade ball, with festive fun for the whole family.  It's only fitting, near the national park that boasts the most diverse salamander population on the planet.

You're invited to celebrate the great biodiversity found in the Smoky Mountains by attending the ball Saturday, April 27th from 6:00 to 10:00 pm at the Gatlinburg Convention Center.  Proceeds support the ongoing Discover Life in America project that has already identified 900 species new to science.
