Easter Sewing

Happiness is...finishing two girly cotton Easter dresses with a few hours to spare before sunrise...and remembering that motherhood is the best job in the whole world!

Frugal:  Reused a pattern that we once used for much more formal silk dresses at Christmas.  The pared down version of this pattern makes a simple sleeveless bodice and full skirt.

Green:  Made these with extra room to grow so the girls can wear them all summer.

Fun:  Lined the bodice and added a built-in slip out of contrasting yellow cotton with butterfly motif.

  1. Super cute! I still haven't been brave enough to sew clothing from scratch. :) Your girls look adorable. I esp like how your youngest is looking up at the eldest.
