Family-Friendly Film Screening in Southern Florida

A family outing and film screening is on schedule for Sunday evening, October 30, at Worden Farm in Southwest Florida.  You're invited for caramel apple making, other children's activities and a movie under the stars.

The movie, What's Organic About Organic? is hosted by the farm near Punta Gorda, with a $20 admission for adults and children 12 and over to benefit the Florida Organic Growers.  Younger children are free.  Activities begin at 6 pm, with the movie set for 7 o'clock.

After the screening will be a question and answer session with film director Shelley Rogers.  Also available for questions will be FOG Executive Director Mary Mesh, who co-produced the documentary.  The general public is still invited to the film screening.  However, the farm workshop that follows the next day is already filled to capacity.  Farmers Eva and Chris Worden, hosts for both events, were voted Florida's Innovative Farmers of the Year in 2010.
