It's celebration time next weekend for East Tennessee's unique member-owned grocery and deli co-op.  Three Rivers Market is planning a Grand Opening event from Thursday, October 13 to Sunday, October 16 at its new Knoxville store.  Flour Sack Mama gave you a sneak peek at the new facility last month.  The sleekly rebuilt, larger facility at a new location is still close to downtown North to serve customers near and far.

The Grand Opening offers free music, free food samples, vendor demonstrations and several meet and greets with interesting folks making the sustainable food movement work.  It's a chance for members to get extra discount offers and for newcomers to learn about the benefits of membership.  As always, anyone can shop at Three Rivers Market.  

Here's a look at Grand Opening Highlights:

Thursday, October 13, 4:00-7:00 pm:  Alternative Transportation Showcase, Meet Elle Colquitt and Jon Livengood of the Mini Adventure cycling series, Meet your Veggie Grower

Friday, October 14, noon - 6:00 pm:  Family Day, T-Shirt Printing (you can bring your own shirt, bag or apron and get it printed for $3), Vendor Demonstrations  

Friday 4:30 - 6:30 pm:  Free Live Music with Moccasin Gap Bluegrass Band
