Treadling Back in Time

The woman at the other end of the phone chuckled a bit when she answered, "They're all computerized now."  I had been calling around to some sewing-related businesses near me to see if anyone still stitched on a treadle.  Many modern quilters and crafters find it strange to not take full advantage of the latest technology in sewing machines. 

This week at our house, we're stepping back to try something that not everyone appreciates anymore.  My daughters will get the chance to sew on the same machine that their great grandmother once used.  Since the machine has just come to rest at our house, we have a lot to learn about it.
