Cleaning Out and Recycling

We all have our ways of starting off the new year fresh! We focus on fitness, other personal development, and of course, cleaning up our spaces. One of our January tasks was hefting the 100-gallon bag of polysterene out of our garage into the back of our vehicle.  It barely fit.

Turns out, our family managed to fill two of these bags in a year's time, despite efforts to avoid fast food and other sources of excessive packaging.  One positive was that we kept 200 gallons of polysterene out of the landfill.

This week at Flour Sack Mama.com:  see how a community recycling program has expanded, revisit ways to precycle and see how a trip to the grocery store can potentially bring home zero packaging waste.
