Splashes of color filled the booth at the Earth Day festival where I met vibrant personality Carol Montgomery. The accomplished artist and teacher was showing off boldly-colored, durable bags made from recycled seatbelts.

Montgomery says her passion for green living started with influences from her childhood, growing up in Great Britain in a home where gardening and recycling were the norm.
